We offer a modern way to buy and own a luxury glamping camp. We do it for significantly less cost and remove the typical hassles of property ownership. Introducing Basecamps by Recess Camps.

For many families, a Basecamp is a special place to come together and create lasting memories. Your camp comes with everything needed to enjoy time together with the ones that matter most to you. You’ll find a fully furnished travel trailer and two glamping tents to make your stays comfortable and cozy, and fun activities right on site. Not to mention, you’ll be near great outdoor activities, like natural springs and hiking trails.

We build amazing outdoor camps featuring travel trailers and glamping tents in paradises of natural wonder. We create an LLC for each camp and each one has a maximum of eight owners. When the camp has been fully sold, Recess Camps does not retain any ownership in the camp. We professionally manage the camp for the benefit of the owners, handling design, cleaning, maintenance, bill payment, repairs, LLC oversight, taxes and more.

Basecamps provide the opportunity to own a piece of the outdoors for dramatically less cost and management hassle. You have the flexibility to own the amount of the camp that is right for you, ranging from 1/8 to 1/2. Each owner has independent control over the sale of their share.

The company ensures your Basecamp is both stylish and functional. Thorough design and selection of essentials make the camps comfortable and enjoyable. High-quality furnishings, linens, cookware, electronics, and recreational items are provided.

Effortless Maintenance and Care

We take care of post-stay inspections, cleaning, and maintenance. Preventive maintenance is scheduled to prevent issues, and reserves are set aside for unexpected problems. Regular landscaping and upkeep ensure the property looks great year-round.

Simple Billing System

A fair and centralized billing system is established for co-owners. An annual budget covers operating expenses, divided into 12 monthly payments based on ownership shares. Recess Camps handles all the bills and manages the camps’ financial account.

Dedicated Camp Manager

Co-owners have a dedicated Camp Manager for support. The manager handles maintenance issues and ensures owners’ needs are met. Regular check-ins and feedback requests prioritize a delightful experience for owners.

Your Basecamp neighbors are families. Owners, not renters. Together, they own 100% of their camp. Unlike a typical vacation home, Recess Camps aim for owner use of nearly 90% of the time — providing year-round support for local businesses.

The local community does not benefit when properties are empty. The co-owners of a Basecamp collectively use their glamping camps year-round, supporting local businesses and building connections. Owners spend money on goods and services such as groceries, restaurants, entertainment, and local attractions. This can create jobs and increase revenue for local businesses and governments. Additionally, camp owners may become involved in the local community through volunteer work, donations, or other forms of support.

We serve owners and their families. The owners invest in their glamping camp and take an owner’s mindset to care for their property. All owners agree to our policies, which prohibit rentals and large events or parties.
